The Problem We Set Out to Solve
Most Sri Lankan retail shop owners and vehicle dealers manage their business with a mix of cashbooks, spreadsheets, basic billing software, and memory. When you have two shops, it gets harder. When you have five, it becomes chaotic.
Existing POS solutions are either too expensive, too complex, or built for foreign markets with assumptions that don't apply here no LKR-first design, no understanding of how supplier credit works locally, no multi-branch stock transfers, no vehicle dealership features.
The idea was simple: build the software that Sri Lankan business owners actually need, priced at a level that makes sense for this market, without any of the foreign bloat.
What We Built
Paylnz is a fully browser-based platform covering two distinct modules:
- Retail & General POS: Billing, inventory, purchase orders, returns, customer ledger, multi-branch management, and monthly profit & loss for retail shops of any size
- Vehicle Dealership: Vehicle inventory, customer records, service tracking, finance management, and multi-dealership dashboards purpose-built for the way Sri Lankan dealerships operate
Both modules share the same platform, the same login, and the same role-based access control system so an owner running both a retail business and a vehicle dealership manages everything from one account.

Based in Badulla, Sri Lanka, Prabod Chamika built Paylnz from the ground up every line of code, every SQL query, and every pixel of UI. Passionate about practical solutions for local businesses. When something needs attention, youβre talking directly to the person who created it.
As an early Paylnz user, you have direct access to the founder and creator. Feature requests, bug reports, and feedback go straight to the person who built the software no ticketing system, no delays.
